This was the second time “the girls” from Florida stayed at The Juniper House while volunteering at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary (2010 and 2012). We’re hoping to be able to return in 2014. The Juniper House is a wonderful “home away from home”. The rooms were spacious, clean, homey. Being able to bring home “overnight guests” from Best Friends was awesome. There were six of us in 2012 and eight of us in 2010, so there were plenty of people to watch the animals which were never left alone. It felt safe to walk around the neighborhood with the dogs; no matter what time of day or night. We walked to dinner after volunteering all day at Best Friends, too. The restaurants we chose were great. We couldn’t have asked for better weather. All of us are eager to share with people where we stayed. Asta and Gretchen at the rental offices of Kanab Garden Cottages were wonderful to work with. I would definitely give The Juniper House a Top 10 review!

Juniper House is a well-kept, nicely decorated, comfortable four-bedroom, two and one-half bath house within walking distance to the restaurants, shops, and historical sites of downtown Kanab. It’s also a very short drive to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary and is a convenient location for those interested in day-trip sightseeing to Zion, Bryce or Grand Canyon North Rim and/or Lake Powell. The owner is pleasant and accommodating; she truly wants to ensure your stay at Juniper House is a memorable one. Last year was our sixth stay at Juniper House and we’ve already booked for 2013 since we can’t imagine staying anywhere else while in the area.

Great house. Six of us stayed there. We were very comfortable. We liked that we were so close to downtown and could walk to the restaurants. Very quiet neighborhood – friendly neighbors. We were out hiking all day and liked the proximity of Kanab to everything we wanted to do. The house had lots of space for everyone to spread out.

We visited Bryce, Zion, and Lake Powell during our stay and the Juniper house was a great location for all three sights. House was very spacious for family of 7 and configured for a family vacation. They interior style was country and gave a nice relaxing feel. One room had the washer and dryer which I would recommend placing on the garage instead. we would highly recommend the place for families looking to visit the parks.

I’ve stayed at the Juniper House several times, the lastest in June of 2011. Its a great house for a group of people, lots of room, well maintained. Its close to restaurants if you want to eat out but they also have a well furnished kitchen so you can save money buy cooking your own meals. I stay in Kanab when I volunteer at Best Friends and you can have dogs or cats on sleepovers while you are there. The owner has always been helpful and I have recommended the house to several people.

Annually, we come to Kanab to volunteer at Best Friends. The Juniper is our favorite house. It has plenty of room for a lot of people, it’s well maintained, comfortable and homey, the neighbors are friendly, and it is centrally located. You can walk to to many of the restaurants. They allow well-behaved pets, which is the best part of all, as we take Best Friends dogs on sleepovers.
It will be an enjoyable experience for you.

I love Juniper House! I’ve stayed there twice, and have a third visit scheduled. It’s big enough to share with a group of friends and it’s wonderful to have full kitchen and laundry facilities available during my volunteer vacations at Best Friends. Not only is it a nice house, but it’s within walking distance to restaurants and easy driving distance to the sanctuary and a variety of National Parks.
